San Francisco Baykeeper is a founding member of Waterkeeper Alliance, the international network of nearly 200 local Waterkeeper organizations that provides a voice for the world's waters. Waterkeeper Alliance is hosting a series of on-the-water Splash events in select cities. For more information about the Alliance, go to www.waterkeeper.org.

Come out and support San Francisco Baykeeper
for the inaugural TRANSBAY RELAY fundraiser swim
from the Golden Gate to the East Bay

This 3-person relay fundraiser supports the efforts of San Francisco Baykeeper to protect the Bay from pollution. Each team pledges to raise $1,000 for Baykeeper's work to defend the water quality of San Francisco Bay.

The 9-mile swim begins at Needles Rock around 8 am and ends at Emeryville Marina. The swim is not timed. A route map is below. We'll also host a post-swim award ceremony and refreshments -- swimmers and supporters are invited to stay and celebrate with us!
